Many thanks to all who participated in the Winter Frugal Find Challenge! It was so fun hearing from all you frugal fashionistas out there about the amazing deals you've been scoring lately! Nothing better than the high of scoring the deal of a century. :)
With that being said, it's time to announce the winner of the challenge! Drumroll...
Kori blew me away with her finds! She recently scored an adorable pair of floral heels from T.J.Maxx for $3! Which I was super impressed by. I've gotten tops there for $3, but never a pair of shoes! AND she recently picked up a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans at a thrift store for $4! Those retail for around $200! You go Kori! Way to be a Frugal Fashionista!
I thought it would be fun if Kori did a mini guest post and gave us a few of her best pointers on how to be fashionably frugal. Here are some of her best tips!
1. Shop at Thrift Stores -
Sometimes you have to DIG in order to find the best items at a Thrift store, it's almost like a treasure chest! One of my favorite finds at a thrift store recently was a Vineyard Vines Shep Pullover- for only $20!
2. Always check the back of stores for clearance racks -
Stores always keep their sale and clearance racks in the back of the store! Once I found a pair of Flying Monkey jeans for only $12! 🙊
3. For Designer Clothes, Shoes, and Purses, always check ThredUp or Poshmark -
ThredUp is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to online shop! I just got a pair of 7FAMK jeans for $8!
4. Ross, TJMaxx, and Marshalls -
These three stores are basically the only retail stores I shop at! I always find such cute clothes, at such great prices! I recently got a dress at Ross for $9.99, and a pair of heels at T.J.Maxx for $3!
5. Upscale Resale Stores(Plato's Closet, Clothes Mentor, Uptown Cheapskate) - Upscale resale stores are my favorite to shop at! The atmosphere is always so wonderful! The best part is that everything they sell is always in like new condition, under two years old, and name brand! I once saw a pair of TORY BURCH sandals for $15! 😱sadly they weren't my size!
Love all the tips Kori! A girl after my own heart! Haha
Thanks SO much everyone for participating! It was so fun hearing from all of you on the great deals you've been scoring!
Keep being frugal!
February always seems like such a drag. Anyone else agree?! The blustery weather and the fact that you haven't seen grass in awhile can make a girl go crazy! And according to Mr. Punxsutawney Phil, there is going to be more winter then I'd like!... Here's to hoping he's wrong. Sooooooo as a bit of a pick me up, I've decided to do another Frugal Find Challenge!
Being cooped up in the winter usually leads me to being entertained by LOTS of unnecessary online shopping and of course shopping in stores. Oh gosh, who am I kidding?! I always find an occasion to shop! I love a good find and know many of you do as well! I've gotten some amazing deals in these recent winter months that I am going to share a little bit later.
Hopefully, you've been able to apply some of my Fashionably Frugal tips to make recent shopping trips a success! I love hearing from readers about amazing steals they've scored, so here's your chance to shine!
I'm giving away a $50 gift card to my fav T.J.Maxx & Marshall's, to one lucky fashionista!
Here's how to participate in the challenge:
Doing each of these actions will earn you points towards winning! The more you do, the greater your chances! The winner will be announced next Friday, February 24th!

Oh! And did I mention, the winner gets a $50 T.J.Maxx/Marshall's gift card!
Now to tell you about my recent haul at Marshall's!... Unfortunately (or fortunately, whatever way you look at it haha) a brand new Marshall's just opened on the corner of my block! It's VERY dangerous. Conveniently located on my walk to the gym, lol. The other morning I stopped by looking for a jacket and I left with wayyyyy more than a jacket. It always works that way, doesn't it?! I needed a new light weight jacket for a recent ski trip, so I was SO happy to find a lot of winter items on clearance! When I walked in there were tables of clearance boots and racks of winter clothing, so stuffed you could barely walk in between the aisles! There were so many great deals, but I had to limit myself to the best bargains. I ended up finding a VIneyard Vines light weight down jacket for $20! I literally praised Jesus when I laid eyes on it! I also ended up getting a silk lace tank for $4, a lace up dress for $6, Sam Edelman sparkly kitten heels for $17, and another pair of Franco Sarto suede over the knee boots for $30! All for around $80! Can't beat that! Especially when the Vineyard Vines coat is normally retailed at $300!
This challenge is inspired by this amazing find! Now is the best time to shop winter sales! This proves you don't have to wait till the off season to get the best prices!
Frugal Tip: Shop during the ALMOST off season to get the best deals!
May the sales be ever in your favor!
